Hi there! I'm Sophia, the owner and founder of Tallow Wife.

I started Tallow Wife out of a passion for clean, high-quality skincare and intentional living. Having grown up with sensitive skin, I know how important it is to trust the ingredients you put on your body. In my search for clean ingredients, I thought beef tallow was weird, and was asking myself, "Why would I put fat on my skin?"

But after learning about its long history in traditional skincare and trying it for myself, I was amazed by how nourishing and gentle it felt. It quickly became a staple in my skincare routine, and that's when I knew I wanted to share it with others.

I began making my own bar soaps, lotions, lip balms, liquid hand soaps, and candles for myself and my family using simple, nourishing ingredients. Today, I'm proud to share those same products with others. Based in Bozeman, Montana, I source my beef suet tallow locally and create everything in small batches from my kitchen.

I believe skincare should be simple and made with clean ingredients. Every product I offer is one that I personally use or have used with confidence before sharing it with my customers.
